Peer Review Process

Jurnal Manajemen Bisnis dan Pariwisata (MANBISPAR) follows a two-stage review process. The initial review is conducted by the Editor-in-Chief to check for plagiarism and assess the manuscript’s quality before forwarding it to the second stage – peer review. The editor is generally given about four weeks to complete the initial review, though this may vary depending on the number of submissions received.

If the manuscript passes this first stage, it is then forwarded for a financial review by the section editor. Each submission is reviewed by two independent reviewers who possess the relevant experience, expertise, and interest in the manuscript’s subject area.

MANBI employs a double-blind review policy, where the reviewers do not know the identity or affiliation of the authors – this information is removed by the editorial team. Authors are also required to use an assigned ID instead of personal identifiers during the submission process.

Review Criteria
  • Contribution to the fields of Management, Business, and Formal Sciences
  • Relevance of literature and examination of previous research findings
  • Clarity of research objectives and/or development goals
  • Appropriateness of the research methodology
  • Completeness of empirical data, quality of analysis, and well-structured discussion referencing prior studies
  • Compliance with MANBISPAR’s author guidelines
  • Plagiarism check must be below 30%
Timeline

If a manuscript meets the above criteria, it will be sent to peer reviewers. The total review process takes approximately 3 months from the date of submission. Once accepted, the manuscript goes through an additional publication phase, making the entire publication timeline around 5 months.

Authors are expected to respond seriously to the reviewers’ comments. Failure to address the feedback thoroughly during the revision process may result in the manuscript being rejected and not published.
