Publication Ethics
NextGen Innovations in Computing and Technology (NICT) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. We adhere to the principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
1. Responsibilities of Authors
- Authors must ensure that their submissions are original, free from plagiarism, and have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Proper citations and acknowledgment of all sources must be provided.
- All listed authors must have contributed significantly to the research and approved the final manuscript.
- Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that could influence their work.
- In case of significant errors discovered after publication, authors are obligated to promptly notify the journal for correction or retraction.
2. Responsibilities of Editors
- Editors are responsible for fair and unbiased evaluation of submitted manuscripts, based solely on academic merit and relevance.
- Confidentiality of all submissions must be maintained throughout the review process.
- Editors must take appropriate actions if ethical misconduct or conflicts of interest are identified.
- Editors must ensure that all accepted papers go through proper peer review and are not influenced by commercial or personal interests.
3. Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.
- They must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and not use any information obtained during the review for personal gain.
- Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline the review if they are not qualified or have a competing interest.
- If ethical concerns such as plagiarism, duplicate submission, or falsified data are suspected, reviewers should report it to the editors.
4. Publisher’s Commitment
- PT Arfa Digital Technology, as the publisher, works closely with editors to ensure ethical publication standards are maintained.
- The publisher supports editorial independence and provides necessary resources to maintain quality and integrity.
- In cases of alleged or proven scientific misconduct, plagiarism, or fraudulent publication, the publisher will take appropriate measures, including correction, retraction, or expression of concern.
5. Plagiarism and Misconduct
All manuscripts submitted to NICT are checked for originality using plagiarism detection software. Submissions with significant similarity (above 25%) or unethical content will be rejected. Fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, and image manipulation are strictly prohibited and may lead to blacklisting of authors.
6. Handling of Ethical Complaints
Complaints related to ethical misconduct or disputes in the editorial process are taken seriously and handled according to COPE flowcharts. Reports of misconduct can be sent to the Editor-in-Chief or publisher for investigation and resolution.
By submitting to NICT, authors agree to comply with this publication ethics policy.
