Plagiarism Check

Haqqiyyah: Journal of Islamic and Legal Studies is committed to ensuring the originality and academic integrity of every manuscript submitted for publication. To uphold this standard, all manuscripts are subjected to thorough plagiarism screening before being sent to peer reviewers.

Screening Tools Used

We use trusted plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin and Grammarly Plagiarism Checker to screen for duplicate content, improper citation, or academic misconduct.

Acceptable Similarity Threshold

  • A maximum similarity index of 25% is allowed.
  • Similarity from a single source must not exceed 5%.
  • Properly cited quotations and bibliographic references are excluded from the similarity score.

Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected:

  • Before review: The manuscript will be rejected immediately.
  • During review: The process will be suspended and the author notified.
  • After publication: The article will be retracted, and the institution of the author(s) will be informed.

Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for the originality of their work and must ensure that all references, quotations, and borrowed ideas are properly cited in accordance with ethical academic standards.

We strongly encourage authors to conduct plagiarism checks independently before submission to avoid desk rejection.
