Publication Ethics

Haqqiyyah: Journal of Islamic and Legal Studies is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The editorial board, authors, and reviewers are expected to conform to the following ethical standards:

1. Duties of Editors

  • Ensure a fair and unbiased review process.
  • Make decisions based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
  • Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Prevent conflicts of interest and unethical practices.

2. Duties of Reviewers

  • Conduct objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript content.
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Avoid personal criticism and base feedback on academic merit.

3. Duties of Authors

  • Submit original work that has not been published elsewhere.
  • Properly cite all references and sources of information.
  • Acknowledge all contributors and funding sources appropriately.
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Cooperate with the editor in case revisions or clarifications are needed.

4. Plagiarism & Misconduct

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools (e.g., Turnitin). Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical conduct will result in manuscript rejection or retraction.

This journal follows the guidelines and principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
